|What is a crown?
A crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. It covers the tooth to restore its shape, size and strength and improve its appearance. Crowns are often needed when a large cavity threatens the on-going health of a tooth. A crown treatment usually requires two visits to the dentist. The first visit involves examining and preparing the tooth. The second visit involves placement of the permanent crown where the dentist will check to ensure the fit of the crown as well as your “bite” are right.
WELDENZ crown is removable! It allows you to remove the crown and clean the natural teeth under it, thus improving oral hygiene.
|What is a bridge?
A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. Types of bridges may vary, depending on how they are fabricated and the way they anchor to the adjacent teeth. A bridge is fabricated by reducing the teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth by a preparation pattern determined by the location of the teeth and by the material from which the bridge is fabricated. For WELDENZ, we believe in preserving your natural teeth. At 0.1mm thickness, the need to mill your natural teeth to fit in the bridge is minimized.
|What is an implant?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is fitted into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge.
